About the event
The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a harvest celebration deeply rooted in Chinese culture, with similar traditions observed across East and Southeast Asia. Celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar Month, it is believed to mark the time when the moon is at its brightest and fullest, aligning with the harvest season in China, typically around mid-August.
Even today, the Moon Festival remains a symbol of family reunion and a bountiful harvest. Families gather to share tea, enjoy moon cakes, and savor fruits like pomelo, oranges, and water chestnuts, which are commonly harvested during this time.
Join us for our Moonlight Picnic on Saturday, 14 September 2024, from 7 PM to 10 PM.
